I searched far and wide for a built in kickstand case that didn’t alter the profile of the back of the phone too much. I wanted the case to offer good protection as well as look good. And this was it.The case itself does offer heavy duty protection to the phone. I also added a glass privacy screen protector to the front of the phone as well as the back lens cluster. They all complement each other well. However, the back black plastic does collect smudges fairly easily. It requires a frequent wipe down so that it doesn’t look like you’ve been eating greasy foods all day every day.When closed, the kickstand itself only slightly sticks out from the back of the case. It looks to be made of plastic and textured aluminum. Being able to stick the phone in a wireless charger mount in the car was also one of the main reasons I bought it…however the case does not allow for wireless charging to work for most chargers. This was probably a blessing in disguise for me so that I don’t ruin the battery so quickly by having it charging so much. Not that big of a deal for me. It also takes a bit of getting used to to open up the kickstand. You have to use your fingernail at the fold of the stand that is located in the middle of it. I’m not sure how well those with long fingernails or really short ones will like having to open it up. When the kickstand is opened up, it locks into place by way of two slightly raised bumps. However, one of the ears that allow the kickstand to slide along the rails broke off fairly quickly. This prevented the kickstand from locking into place. I was still within the return period from Amazon so a replacement was sent out quickly.I really like the fact that I can securely hold the phone one handed using the kickstand. It just needs a bit of a sturdier redesign that also allows wireless charging and the case needs to be made more matte to hide all the fingerprints.
